Since 2.4.1, Path of Exile players have been able to enjoy a wealth of new sextant modifiers such as the hunted traitors PoE sextant mod.
In today’s post, we’ll take a deeper look at the hunted traitors mod and figure out how you can maximize your map games should you proc this sextant mod in one of your atlas maps.
According to PoE DB, this particular sextant mod has a 1/300 chance of rolling, which makes it INCREDIBLY rare, even when compared to some of the more sought after mods such as nemesis currency.

While GGG certainly did nerf the incredibly low proc-chance a little bit, it’s still an absolute pain to get. And if you’re trying to grind out the final few challenges to get your league cosmetic items, it’s this exact pain that you somehow have to get past on your way to completion.
What Does Hunted Traitors PoE Do?
The hunted Traitors PoE sextant Mod spawns additional mobs (monsters) inside of the affected map. However, unlike the range of mobs you’re likely all too used to by now, the monsters this mod spawns will actually fight the other monsters on the map, putting you on the clock to clear it – or risk losing exp and potential drops.
To counterbalance this mechanic, when killed – these monsters offer lots of bonus experience and vastly increased drop-rates. And since in Path of Exile, practically any item can drop anywhere, this mod, coupled with prophecies and other sextant profit-mods such as strongboxes or mysterious barrels, makes for one of the best profit-potential setups.
So, why aren’t all the streamers running it then?
How Rare Is This Sextant Mod?
Well, it all goes back to the fact that this mod is still crazy rare. The probability of rolling this mod currently sits at a 0.44% chance (which is twice as rare as rolling strongboxes), according to PoE DB. This means that you’ll need an average of 227 sextants to roll this mod.
While it’s not a massive uptick in probability from the previous 300 sextant average (which comes out to around a 0.33% chance), it’s definitely a big step towards incorporating this sextant into mainstream power-farming strategies.
Conclusion – Is This Sextant Mod Profitable?
The short answer is – incredibly! Going back to what we said about the increased drop rate, in PoE Delirium League if you stack your watchstones and sextant mods correctly, you can enjoy some crazy drop-rates and a few minutes of hyper-profitable power-farming.
