It’s no secret that in League of Legends, preset rune pages can be very helpful for maximizing your efficiency during the champion select stage of the game.
Generally, you will start off with five hard-coded “themed” pages that you can’t change and two additional rune pages that you can name and customize during champion select or while you’re in a lobby.
However, once you dive deeper into the game – more often than not, you’ll find that this amount just doesn’t really cut it. And that’s exactly where our newest installment in our series of quick and easy LoL guides comes in!
So, let’s talk about one of the most popular questions in League of Legends how to get more rune pages!
League of Legends How To Get More Rune Pages In Season 10 & 11

While there are some videos on YouTube and websites that promise to give you extra rune pages if you share your logins – obviously enough…they’re scams.
Unfortunately – in 2020, the only real way to pick up additional League of Legends rune pages is by purchasing them through the Riot store.
To do this, you must first go to the shop located on the top right of your LoL client. Then, you’ll want to go to the accessories section, where you’ll find the rune page bundles.
How Much Do Extra Rune Pages Cost?

Rune pages can be bought for one of two in-game currencies – either Blue Essence (BE) or Riot Points (RP).
For a single rune page in LoL, you’ll be shelling out 590 RP and 6,300 BE per page. And while it may seem a bit outlandish at first, given how quickly you can farm up that amount of BE, and how much convenience extra pages add – it’s actually quite the bargain!
However, make sure you keep an eye out on promotions and sales, as Riot does occasionally throw rune pages and bundles into the discount bin once every so often.
Are Rune Page Bundles Worth It In LoL?
The rune page bundle in League of Legends gives you 7 rune pages for the low-low cost of 2,600 RP. If you’re good with quick-math, that’s basically a free 2 pages over top of the 5 you’re paying for.
So, if you’re not someone that’s wallet-shy, it’s a fantastic option to get a few extra rune pages – making your gaming experience in League of Legends a little cleaner, smoother, and that much more efficient.
What’s The Maximum Number Of Rune Pages You Can Have?
Sure enough – there is actually a limit to rune pages in League of Legends. Although the limit is quite large so it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle to deal with or anything of the sort!
Currently, the maximum number of rune pages you can have on any given account is 25 rune pages on top of the 5 pre-programmed ones you start out with.
All in all, this puts you at a solid 30 rune pages, which is honestly quite a bit. So start saving up, because the convenience is absolutely worth it – you’ll thank me later!
Why Would You Need More Than One Rune Page?

While more seasoned players will probably scoff or giggle reading this question – this is actually something that a lot of newer players struggle with.
In fact, one of the biggest newbie mistakes that keep people from hitting a higher ELO or rank bracket lies in the fact that they use pretty much the same rune setup for just about every champion in a particular class.
For example, Ashe and Vayne – they both have similar rune setups, but ultimately, there are a few small tweaks between the two that will add loads of QoL and power output.
Or in a more drastic case – we can compare Tryndamere and Irelia!
Now, once a player has mastered the proper rune picks for each champion they play, we’ve got to talk about convenience and QoL. The last thing you want to do is to forget to set the right runes and throw a game, especially once you start hitting Platinum and above. However, to no surprise, it’s still a pretty common mistake in that ELO.
If you pre-set your rune pages where the only change you’ll have to make is a situational tweak or two in response to a counter-pick or particular lane matchup – it’ll make your life that much easier.
Are There Any Alternate Ways To Get Rune Pages In LoL?
So, now you might be asking yourself – are there any alternative ways of getting rune pages in League of Legends outside of the Riot store?
Unfortunately, the short answer would be no for most players on the main servers.
However, for those of you who play LoL on Garena – there is actually an alternative way to get rune pages without having to spend BE or RP. This method uses the platform’s own mobile app, Garena Spin, which gives you a chance to win Run Pages, Blue Essence, Icons, Ward Skins, and other nifty loot each time you play.
Closing Thoughts
It’s no secret that rune pages are one of the handiest utility bits in LoL. However, great as they may be, the game limits you quite heavily in the number of rune pages it hands out.
This sends many people looking for alternative ways to pick up more rune pages without having to spend a dime. And unfortunately, most of these “eldoradoesque” promises most sites and videos online boast are just scams.
The only way to pick up new rune pages (outside of the Garena server) is by purchasing them for BE or RP through the Riot store. So buckle up summoner, and go farm some BE!
